About the 2000 children separated from parents seeking asylum at the border –
ASK YOUR CONGRESSMAN – if the parent, after applying for asylum, can be housed WITH their child – on the other side of the border, not in the U.S., while awaiting processing.

They could remain together – but not allowed the opportunity to disappear into the U.S.

Further, if the U.S. covered the cost of their motel room and meal vouchers – would it be less expensive than housing them in two different U.S. facilities – requiring paid staff at both facilities as well as activities and entertainment?

We don’t know the answer – but please ask them to look at all options.
